When you purchase one of our blades, you have invested in a premium piece of gear that can last a lifetime with the proper care and maintenance.
Here’s what you need to know to keep your Dynamis blades at peak performance.
CONSIDER THE STEEL
At CRUSH EVERYTHING, we utilize different steels tailored to the objectives of each blade we make. That being said, it is important to recognize first and foremost that these steels have different physical qualities which may require adapting maintenance practices to suit them.

80 CRV2: DYNAMIS SINGLE AND DOUBLE EDGE, RAZORBACK, AND REVERE BLADES
80CRV2 is known for extreme toughness and good hardness, making it a solid choice for survival and outdoor blades. Dom’s choice for our Legacy blade collection – the Dynamis Single and Double Edges, Razorback, and Revere Blades made for us by Winkler Knives – it requires the following steps to maintain its corrosion resistance:
–CLEANING: 80CRV2 can benefit from occasional washing with warm soapy water followed by thorough drying. Do not use the dishwasher.
–OILING: With a soft microfiber cloth, apply a light coat of oil (2-3 drops) after cleaning to prevent rust. Our Blade Oil and Cleaning Cloth are all you need to get this done!
–STORAGE: When not in use, be sure to store your blade in a dry place – the protective case we include with every blade purchase is ideal.

CPMS-110V: NEPTUNE DIVE BLADE
CPMS-110V is a high-alloy martensitic stainless tool steel, produced using the Crucible Particle Metallurgy process. This ensures that carbides are finely and uniformly distributed throughout the steel, making it exceptionally resistant to wear and corrosion.
–CLEANING: Because it is so highly corrosion-resistant, CPMS-110V requires less maintenance than many other blades. Still, it should be cleaned after use to prevent build-up; we designed the Neptune Dive Blade with removable scales to aid in this process.
–SHARPENING: CPMS-110V can be difficult to sharpen due to its hardness. At the same time, because it retains its edge so well, the need to sharpen will be less frequent.
–STORAGE: It is always best to store your blade in a clean and dry place, but due to the high corrosion-resistance of CPMS-110V, this blade can endure more moisture than most others before rusting. This is why it was our choice for the dive blade preferred by many amphibious operators in the field.

MAGNACUT STEEL: CRUSADER BLADE
MagnaCut is an extremely tough form of stainless steel that is prized for its excellent edge retention as well as its low-maintenance characteristics.
–CLEANING: Like CPMS-110V, MagnaCut’s high corrosion-resistance means that it is more low maintenance than many other steels. Still, it will always benefit from being kept clean.
–SHARPENING: Although MagnaCut is slightly easier to sharpen than CPMS-110V, it still has excellent edge retention over time.
–STORAGE: Excellent corrosion-resistance means that your Crusader can stand up to the elements, but we always recommend keeping your blade in a clean, dry environment when not in use.

S7 TOOL STEEL: CFH AND CFH-X
Prized for its shock resistance and toughness, S7 Tool Steel was Dom’s choice for the CFH. Although we add a rugged NEPT-X coating to our CFH and CFH-X in order to aid in its corrosion resistance, we still recommend that extra care is taken to maintain its longevity.
–CLEANING: Clean your CFH regularly with warm, soapy water to remove buildup that may accumulate during the day.
–OILING: Even though your CFH is NEPT-X coated, we still recommend using your Dynamis Cleaning Cloth to apply 2-3 drops of Blade Oil to your clean, dry CFH to protect the steel’s finish.

SHARPENING
For all of our blades, we recommend the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Elite MK2 and Guided Field sharpeners – Dom’s choice for maintenance, and the first pieces of gear we have added to the CRUSH EVERYTHING Marketplace for you to conveniently shop for directly on our site. Depending on your budget, skill/experience level, lifestyle, and needs, these sharpeners cover the bases to ensure your blade gives you a lifetime of peak performance.
